AGSC’s new certification programs will be available later this year. The programs offer Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) certification for auto glass technicians and a customer service representative (CSR) certification.

The program for ADAS, as it relates to auto glass, will provide technicians with basic knowledge of how ADAS works and how and when to properly calibrate.

The Education Committee worked on questions for the CSR certification exam on Feb. 3.

AGSC president Jacques Navant says the goal for this certification program is to provide auto glass company employees with training on the basics of ADAS calibration systems and the language surrounding them so they can serve their customers better and keep them safe.

The CSR certification program will verify the basic skills required to provide customer service in an auto glass shop. Certified CSRs will have a working knowledge of the industry, empathy, diplomacy in dealing with disgruntled customers and how to incorporate a company’s AGSC membership into their dialogue.

AGSC’s Education Committee worked diligently to finalize exam questions for the CSR certification, and the ADAS Committee worked on the ADAS certification when the committees met in person on February 3.
