The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) recently held a “Certification Explained” webinar for members and others interested in becoming AGSC-certified.
AGSC education manager Mindy Hood offered an in-depth look at what it means to be AGSC-certified, the different certifications offered, and how to obtain them.
AGSC education manager Mindy Hood lead the recent AGSC Webinar.“You’d trust a certified barber or hairstylist more than an uncertified one, wouldn’t you?” Hood asked attendees. “Auto glass technicians have people’s lives in their hands. AGSC certification allows customers to trust you with their safety.”
Hood reminded attendees that AGSC provides five certifications:
- AGSC Certified Replacement Technician
- AGSC/NWRD Certified Repair Technician
- AGSC Certified Glass Calibration Specialist
- AGSC Certified Customer Service Representative
- AGSC Certified Master Replacement Technician
Hood walked attendees through the certification process, including explaining how to best prepare for the exams.
“AGSC also offers the repair and replacement exams in Spanish,” she said. “With the help of the Hispanic Outreach Committee, we hope to add more Spanish-language certification resources soon.”

AGSC training and certification testing will also be held March 25-26 in Long Island, New York, in conjunction with Glass Expo Northeast™, and Nov. 4-5 in Columbus, Ohio, in conjunction with Glass Expo Midwest™.
