AGSC Gathers Insurers at CEU Forum at Auto Glass Week™

November 22, 2017

Participants at the AGSC Insurers’ CEU Forum each earned three CEU credits.

More than 30 insurance company officials and agents learned about auto glass safety at the recent Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Insurers’ CEU Forum held at Auto Glass Week™. The forum was held on October 3 in West Palm Beach, Fla., just before Auto Glass Week got underway and provided 3 CEU credits to participants.

Industry veteran Joel Timmons led the informative course, approved for CE credits by the states of Florida, Colorado, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and the commonwealth of Virginia.

He discussed the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard as well as the AGSC, AGSC Registered Member Companies, and how they work to ensure the safety of policyholders.

“We had a great turnout and were able to educate a number of insurers about the importance of safe auto glass installations,” says AGSC director of operations Kathy Bimber. “We received tremendous feedback from those in attendance and one of our members has already hosted an AGSC insurer seminar in their own area to further this education.”

She adds, “We also had several insurers express their interest in joining the AGSC as insurance members.”
