The Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) upcoming auto glass technician training and testing opportunity in Reno, Nev., is just a few short months away. The course and exam will be given during Auto Glass Week™ this fall. The training is free to technicians who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies and available to those who work for non-Registered Member Companies at a small charge. It will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
The course will be conducted on Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the exam will be given from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
AGSC’s AGRSS Standards committee chair and industry expert Bob Beranek, president of Automotive Glass Consultants in Sun Prairie, Wis., is teaching the course.
“We felt that if we could help the technicians who want to take the certification exam it would help the industry in two ways,” says Beranek. “It would increase the number of certified technicians, which would give the consumer more confidence in our replacements, and we could improve the knowledge the technician needs to perform competently.”
