Over the last few years, there has been a lot of legislative activity with regard to auto glass repair and replacement. This activity has included bills dealing with requiring auto glass repair/replacement companies to follow the AGRSS Standard, Assignment of Benefits (AOB) and service contracts, OEM requirements and insurance payments, ADAS and calibrations.
AGSC monitors auto glass repair and replacement related legislative activity across the United States and provides legislative alerts, as well as action alerts when appropriate, to our members. Seth Maiman is the AGSC Director of Public Affairs and the “go to” person for all things legislation-related for AGSC. We encourage you to contact him at smaiman@agsc.org or 540-602-3281 if you have questions about legislative activity in your state. Seth can also provide you with advice on how to become involved in your state’s legislative process.
To assist you further, we have a Legislative Alert box on the homepage of our website, www.agsc.org.
AGSC’s goal is to make it easy for you to locate the legislative activity in your state that may affect your auto glass business. We encourage you to become involved in the legislative process and contact your state legislators if you have concerns about proposed legislation and its impact on your business.
To find out the names of your legislators or more information about a particular bill, click on the “contact your state legislators” link in the Legislative Alerts box. Clicking on this link will take you to the Congress.gov website. When you click on your state in the map, you will be taken to your state’s legislative homepage. Most states have a place on this page where you can search for the names of your state legislators as well as search for particular bills for more information.
