A bill is under review in the Florida House that aims to “prohibit motor vehicle repair shops and employees from offering anything of value to customers in exchange for making insurance claims for motor vehicle glass replacement and repair, including offers made through certain persons.”
The bill, HB 323, was introduced on January 17. The bill was reported as favorable by the Insurance and Banking Subcommittee in February and now is under the review of the House Civil Justice Subcommittee. It was first read in the House on March 5.
