Some people have garage bands, but what about a garage auto glass company? That’s how one of AGSC’s newest registered members, H&L Auto Glass, started. Now, the Kennewick, Washington-based company is a 10-person operation in a spacious shop.
“My husband, Wesley, and I started the shop with some business partners in 2022,” says Brittany Hunting, H&L’s office manager. “Wesley had been working for another local company. When Safelite bought that shop, he decided he’d prefer to work somewhere else. That’s when we started H&L Auto Glass.”
The shop operated out of the couple’s garage at first, says Brittany Hunting. After a few months, they found a small shop space behind an auto body shop.

The new space was significantly larger than before, Hunting says. It was also more visible from the road.
Wesley Hunting owns the store alongside business partners John Ficklin and Briley Lord. Brittany Hunting manages the office and has two customer service representatives working for her. H&L has three additional technicians.
“Our goal from the beginning was to set ourselves up as a reputable business, not a fly-by-night operation,” Hunting says. “We want customers to be confident in us. That’s why we chose to become an AGSC member.”
She adds that Wesley, was inspired to become a member after attending Auto Glass Week™ 2025.
“He was all ramped up when he came back,” Brittany Hunting says, laughing.
Everyone at H&L takes the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ very seriously, she says.
“We want to ensure all of our current and future technicians understand and follow the Standard so they can perform safe installations,” Hunting says.
“I don’t want anyone at this shop to ever stop learning,” she adds. “If that means getting certified in every little thing, that’s what we’ll do.”
