
Bob Beranek recently led a training course at the AGSC’s headquarters in Stafford, Va.
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold regional training and accreditation programs in three different locations at three different times in 2017. Courses will be held in Long Island, N.Y., in March, Irvine, Calif., in June, and West Palm Beach, Fla., in October.
The Long Island training course and certification exam will be offered twice, once on Thursday, March 30, and again on Friday, March 31, at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington Hotel. The training part of the program will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, and then the exam will be given at 7 p.m. On Friday, March 31, the training course will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the exam will follow at 11:30 a.m.
In October, the AGSC will again offer a training course on Friday, October 6, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in conjunction with Auto Glass Week™ in West Palm Beach. The exam will follow from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. that day. Auto Glass Week will be held at Palm Beach County Convention Center and the Hilton West Palm Beach.
The West Coast training course and exam also will be provided in conjunction with Glass Expo West™ at the Irvine Marriott in Irvine, Calif. Glass Expo West will be held June 1-2, and the training course will be held on Friday, June 2. The training course will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the exam will follow at 2 p.m.
The training programs are free for technicians who currently work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The cost is $49 for technicians who do not work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The courses will be led by Bob Beranek, chair of the AGSC AGRSS™ Standards Committee and president of Auto Glass University.

The AGSC recently held a training course in Stafford, Va., during which 13 technicians were certified.
