The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold its annual member meeting on Tuesday, September 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nev. The meeting will be held just before Auto Glass Week™ opens with the First Annual Industry Golf Tournament that afternoon.
AGSC members also are invited to a private breakfast with world-renowned management expert Jack Welch on Friday, October 2, from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Welch will offer a keynote speech later that morning to all Auto Glass Week attendees.
Welch, a legendary former GE CEO, is one of the nation’s most successful and respected business leaders of our generation and the best-selling author of numerous books. During the keynote session, Welch will answer audience questions and provide insight to concerns and items that occur too often in businesses both young and established.
Welch has also penned and released a number of bestsellers including a new book with his wife, Suzy Welch, called The Real-Life MBA: Your No-BS Guide to Winning the Game, Building a Team and Growing Your Character. Each attendee of Auto Glass Week will receive a complimentary copy.
Following Welch’s keynote, Suzy Welch will moderate a panel of top Auto Glass Week executives, including Jack Welch, discussing and explaining tactics, pitfalls and innovative ways of managing.

Additionally, the AGSC will hold a number of committee meetings during Auto Glass Week, including a meeting of the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standards Committee on Wednesday, September 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Atlantis Hotel Resort Spa.
Auto Glass Week is scheduled for September 30-October 2, 2015 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nev. The three days will consist of educational seminars, networking opportunities, an exhibition floor and industry competitions.
The National Windshield Repair Association (NWRA), which develops standards related to windshield repair, also will hold a number of standard maintenance and development meetings. On Monday, September 28, its new ANSI NWRA QIS Standard for Identification of Quality Levels in Windshields Committee will meet from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Atlantis Hotel Resort Spa. The ANSI NWRA BIS Break Identification Standard Committee will meet for the first time from noon to 1 p.m., also at the hotel. Then, from 1 to 2 p.m., the ANSI NWRA ROLAGS Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard™ Committee will meet.
The AGSC also is offering a technician training and certification opportunity on Friday, October 2. Training will run from 8 to 10 a.m. and the certification exam will be given from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both the training and exam will be given at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
