Glass Doctor Auto of SW Portland is a small, family-run business with big values. David and Judy Wood, along with their son, Alan Wood, founded the new Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) member in 2024.
David, Judy and Alan Wood run Glass Doctor of SW Portland.“We heard about the importance of AGSC from the very beginning of our training with Glass Doctor/Neighborly,” says Alan Wood. “Like other Glass Doctor locations, our goal is to prioritize quality, professionalism and safety, so becoming an AGSC member and adhering to the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) is key for success.”
Alan is the vice president and general manager. David is the owner and president and Judy takes care of sales and marketing. AGSC-certified technician Javier Gomez handles all the installations.
“Javier does amazing work,” says Alan Wood. “We’re incredibly lucky to have him.”
Javier Gomez is the technician for Glass Doctor of SW Portland.All four work closely together to offer the best possible service to customers.
“Our focus on customer service is a bit unique for the Portland area,” Wood says. “The goal is for the shop to have an ‘old-school’ feel while still keeping up with the latest technology and using the best materials we can.”
That includes keeping customers safe, he adds, which is where the AGRSS Standard comes into play.
“It keeps us accountable.”
