Lone Pine Auto Glass is one of AGSC’s newest Member Companies. Tyler Johnson founded the Bellingham, Washington, shop in 2024 and serves as its owner and sole operator.

“As the owner and founder, this shop means a lot to me,” he says. “Opening was the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, refining of skills and knowledge and a huge leap of faith. I’ve been lucky to find quick success in my community and have blown past my target numbers.”

Johnson attributes this to achieving the two main goals he had when founding the shop: doing the highest quality work possible and educating his community on the windshields’ importance and the importance of whom they choose to work on their windshield.

Lone Pine Auto Glass is a new shop, but Tyler Johnson says he’s had success so far.

“If I can continue to achieve both of these goals, it will benefit my customers and the community, elevate the quality of work being performed by other stores in my area, and benefit me, my business, my family and my future employees,” he says.

Despite being a one-man operation, he is already able to provide assistance to other shops in the area. He performs recalibrations and offers assistance to local businesses that don’t have recalibration capabilities.

Johnson believes that adhering to the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS) is an excellent way to lay a foundation for success.

“I think the AGRSS Standard is important because it shows a fundamental understanding of the work you’re performing and the necessary steps to approach the work,” he says. “Having a solid base of education and understanding tied in with personal accountability and growth is how you most easily elevate yourself to performing the work well.”

Tyler Johnson is also an AGSC Certified Master Technician.

This is also why he pursued an AGSC Master Technician certification and chose to join AGSC as a Registered Member.

“Being AGSC-registered is important because it shows a good basis and understanding for how to install a windshield properly,” he says.

Johnson hopes to demonstrate his skills and AGRSS prowess in the Auto Glass Technician Competition (AGTO) at Auto Glass Week™ 2025 in Reno, Nevada.
