The ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard – A Living Document

April 17, 2020

The ANSI/AGSC/Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS Standard for short) has been in existence for more than 20 years. Some industry members remember when there was no standard; others have never known the industry without it. There is no doubt that the use of the AGRSS Standard has saved lives and continues to do so.

The genius behind the creation of the AGRSS Standard is that it is a living document. The Standard was created in 1999 and updated in 2002, 2015 and again in 2018. Within the Auto Glass Safety Council there is the AGRSS Standards Committee which continuously maintains, updates and interprets the Standard.

If you or someone you know has a material interest in auto glass safety and is interested in serving on the AGRSS Standards Committee, please contact Kathy Bimber at kbimber@agsc.org.
