The Auto Glass Safety Council offers various types of auto glass technician accreditation:
AGSC Qualified Replacement Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the AGSC general technician certification test but do not work for AGSC Registered Member Companies.
AGSC Certified Replacement Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the AGSC general technician certification test and who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies.
AGSC Qualified Master Replacement Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the AGSC master technician certification test and who do not work for an AGSC Registered Member Company.
AGSC Certified Master Replacement Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the AGSC master technician certification test and who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies.
NWRD Certified Repair Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the NWRD Repair Technician test and who work for member companies of AGSC or its NWRD (repair only) division.
NWRD Qualified Repair Technician – applies to technicians who have passed the NWRD Repair Technician test but do not work for member companies of AGSC or its NWRD (repair only) division.
General Certification Technician Test
The AGSC’s General Auto Glass Technician certification examination is an online examination consisting of 70 multiple choice questions, allowing an average of 90 seconds per question to answer.
Requirements: knowledge in OSHA regulations, an understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), all types of auto glass replacement, NAGS and pattern making for glass fabrication will help in taking the examination.

Master Certification Technician Test
The AGSC’s Master Auto Glass Technician certification examination is an online examination consisting of 70 multiple choice questions, allowing an average of 90 seconds per question to answer.
Requirements: must have experience and knowledge in OSHA required employee safety regulations; conducting installations according to the current AGRSS Standard; intermediate level automotive electrical testing and troubleshooting procedures and equipment; OEM sunroof repair and replacement techniques; advanced wind noise and water leak diagnosis and repair; current standards and regulations that apply to the auto glass industry; custom cutting and finishing of automotive laminated glass; an understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
To be eligible for this exam, technicians must have 3 or more years in the auto glass industry and be an AGSC certified Auto Glass Technician.

NWRD Repair Certification Technician Test
The NWRD Repair Exam certification examination is an online examination consisting of 60 multiple choice questions, allowing an average of 90 seconds per question to answer. (Renewal Exams consist of 20 multiple choice questions, allowing an average of 90 seconds per question to answer.)
Requirements: Understand the steps necessary for a company and its individuals to be in compliance with ANSI/NWRA/ROLAGS 001-2014, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS™).

Certification Test Registration Process
To register for the test click on the link provided below under Certification Test Links and complete the application form. The cost to take the test is as follows:
$39.00 – technicians who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies
$149.00 – technicians who work for non-AGSC Registered Members
The test fee covers up to three (3) attempts to pass the certification exam.
Upon receipt and processing (up to seven business days) of the completed application and payment, you will receive an email listing the login, password and URL link to access the online examination. You will have up to six (6) months from the time you receive your login and password to take the test.

Certification Test Preparation Tips
AGSC has created a series of free training videos to help prepare you for the exam. It will take approximately two hours to view all of these videos. The above-mentioned login and password will provide you with access to these videos.

For the NWRD Repair Exam, a manual will be distributed at the time of exam setup to assist in preparing for the test.
