An Oklahoma bill related to service contracts has passed the state’s Senate and moved on to the House.
The bill, SB 1012, aims “remov[e] [the] exemption from [the] Vehicle Protection Product Act for service contract providers who sell vehicle protection products; [and] remov[e] [the] exemption from [the] Service Warranty Act for certain sales.”
The bill was introduced on February 4 and referred to the Senate Retirement and Insurance Committee. It passed the Senate on March 7 with no changes and was referred to the House on March 11.
