Ohio Considers Bill Related to Road Hazard Contracts

The Ohio House of Representatives currently is reviewing a bill that aims to “merge the motor vehicle tire or wheel road hazard contract (road hazard contract) provisions into the motor vehicle ancillary product protection (MVAPP) contract provisions.” The bill notes that the MVAPP contract provisions apply to “repair or replacement of glass on a motor vehicle necessitated by wear and tear or damage caused by a road hazard.”

The Ohio House of Representatives voted unanimously for favorable passage of the bill, HB 632, on November 29.
