What’s New in 2019?
"Can you believe that the year 2018 is almost over? The next few weeks will be filled with holiday parties, end-of-the-year meetings and report filings, and time with family and friends. They will go by quickly as they always do. And then, it will be 2019! There are many new things coming for AGSC in 2019. First, Registered Member Companies will now be able to say that, not only are they an AGSC Registered Member Company, but that their technicians are AGSC-certified as well, providing a more unified message and an added level of professionalism for consumers." -Kathy Bimber

Welcome These Master Auto Glass Technicians
Several auto glass technicians passed the Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Master Auto Glass Technician certification exam during the month of November. The exam is an online test consisting of 70 multiple choice questions. Those who apply to become Master Auto Glass Technicians must have experience and knowledge in: OSHA-required employee safety regulations; conducting all installations according to the current ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS™ Standard.

Master Technician Spotlight: Ian Spencer, Sacramento Autoglass, Sacramento, Calif.
Ian Spencer of Sacramento Autoglass in Sacramento, Calif., recently passed the Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Master Auto Glass Technician certification exam. He has been in the industry for eight years.
“I got my start in the auto glass industry right out of high school on a recommendation from my high school auto shop teacher, and have been looking forward in the industry ever since,” says Spencer.

Ohio Considers Bill Related to Road Hazard Contracts
The Ohio House of Representatives currently is reviewing a bill that aims to “merge the motor vehicle tire or wheel road hazard contract (road hazard contract) provisions into the motor vehicle ancillary product protection (MVAPP) contract provisions.”

RECALL: Possible Visibility Issues for Certain Motorcycle Models
Ducati owners may be stopping by your shop for the latest recall with its mirrors. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), vibrations may distort images in its mirrors. The models to look out for are the 2017-2019 Ducati Supersport.

New Recall Affects Polaris
Polaris owners and auto shops have a new recall to keep an eye out for. Polaris Industries Inc. released a recall on its 2015 and 2016 Slingshot models that have a backup camera. More than eleven thousand vehicle owners will be affected.
