Do Your Auto Glass Replacement Techs Have the Correct Instructions?
"While all audited Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) Registered Member locations know that their technicians need to follow their Adhesive System Manufacturer’s (ASM) instructions, AGSC auditors sometimes do audit registered locations that do not have the current version of the instructions. Adhesive System Manufacturers occasionally change their instructions. When they do, it is important for locations to have a method for finding out that the instructions have changed and making sure they provide the current version of the instructions to each of their auto glass replacement technicians." -Penny Ouellette

Master Technician Spotlight: Timothy Beane, Windshield Centers
Timothy Beane of Windshield Centers in Woburn, Mass., recently passed the Auto Glass Safety Council™’s (AGSC) Master Auto Glass Technician certification exam. Beane has been in the industry for 16 years. “To me, a company that takes the time and effort to certify its technicians and the technicians that care enough to study and train to reach certification level are the people customers and agents should be seeking out to work on their vehicles.”

Complimentary Regional Certification and Training Programs Planned Throughout the Year
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold a number of regional certification training courses throughout the year across the United States. Each session will include a three-hour training course, along with time to take the certification exam. The courses will be led by Bob Beranek, chair of the AGSC AGRSS™ Standards Committee.

The New Hampshire legislature has passed a bill that aims to “establish a committee to study reimbursement rates under automobile policies.” Both the House and Senate have voted to adopt the bill.
