The Four Courses of Inspection

Jeff Olive, AGSC's director of quality and training, writes a column called "Shop Safety." We've included part of the latest one below.

Chef OliveThe finest restaurants present their gourmet food in four courses, building up to the exquisite main course and finishing with the most decadent of desserts. Are you hungry to learn more?
A quality chef will only use the purest ingredients for your dining pleasure. Choosing these ingredients is the first step, and after they have been obtained only the correct ingredients in the right combination will suffice. Next, a chef needs the proper setup for culinary creation.

Legislative Update

AGSC issues periodic electronic Legislative Alerts on federal and state legislation to its members informing them of bills that are introduced that may affect the auto glass services industry. AGSC's legislative staff tracks these bills and issues updated alerts as necessary. Two issues are worth noting.

Where'd the Roof Go? Vans Recalled for Detaching Sunroofs

Ford Motor Company recalled some Transit Connect vehicles because their panoramic roof panels could detach while driving. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reports that the April 26 recall applies to certain 2017-2019 Ford Transit Connect vans. The panoramic roof panel may be poorly bonded to the vehicle, allowing it to come loose as the car goes down the road.

Our AGSC Family...

First, thank you, Mike Schenian, for your years of service as AGSC's president. We're deeply grateful for the leadership and insight you brought to the Council, and we wish you all the best as you retire as AGSC's president.

AGSC's very own director of quality and training, Jeff Olive, has suffered a loss and asks the AGSC community to keep him and his family in their thoughts and prayers. Olive's son-in-law, Andrew Webb, passed away suddenly from a heart attack on June 7.
Webb was only 35 years old when he passed, leaving behind his wife (and Olive's daughter), Leigh Anne Webb, and an 8-year-old daughter, Jade. Leigh Anne and Jade seek financial help for the extra expenses that come with such a sudden and tragic death, like final affairs and legal expenses. If you are so inclined, you can contribute to the gofundme Webb's brother created for Jeff's daughter HERE.
