The AGSC is launching two new certification programs in 2025: a Customer Service Representative (CSR) certification program and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for auto glass technicians certification program.
The CSR certification program will verify the basic skills required to provide customer service in an auto glass shop. Certified CSRs will have a working knowledge of the industry, empathy, diplomacy in dealing with disgruntled customers and how to incorporate a company’s AGSC membership into their dialogue.
“CSRs are hands down one of the most important components of what we do,” AGSC’s president, Jacques Navant, says.
“One of the advantages to membership with the AGSC is having programs like this available to you,” he adds.

The other certification program, for ADAS as it relates to auto glass, will provide technicians with basic knowledge of how ADAS works and how and when to properly calibrate.
Navant says a goal for this certification program is to provide auto glass company employees with training on the basics of ADAS calibration systems and the language surrounding them so they can serve their customers better and keep them safe.
“It’s something we need to raise awareness about because it’s changing our industry at a very rapid pace,” Navant says. “So now is the time to jump onboard and educate yourself, educate your team and move into the future with that knowledge to do what we need to do, and do it right and do it safe.”
