A New Mexico representative recently introduced a bill to the state’s House that relates to service contracts, and aims to “amend the service contract regulation act; amend the procedure for cancellation; [and] provide for automatic renewal of service contracts.” According to the bill, service contracts can apply to several services, including “the repair of chips or cracks in motor vehicle windshields or the replacement of motor vehicle windshields as a result of damage caused by road hazards.”
The bill, HB 329, was introduced on January 24 and referred to the House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee.
