Mississippi Bill Aims to Impact What Insurers Pay for Auto Repairs

A bill is under review in the Mississippi legislature that aims “to provide the most an insurer will be required to pay for the repair of a motor vehicle is the prevailing market rate that the vehicle could be repaired for in accordance with the manufacturer’s suggested repair standards; and for related purposes.”

The bill, HB 435, was introduced on January 14 and referred to the House Insurance Committee.
