The Minnesota House of Representatives currently is reviewing a bill related to motor vehicle service contract requirements.
The bill changes the state’s motor vehicle service contract requirements description to include a number of services. Among the new listed services is “the repair of chips or cracks in a motor vehicle windshield or the replacement of a motor vehicle windshield as a result of damage caused by a road hazard.”
The bill, HF 3418, was introduced to the Minnesota House of Representatives on March 8 by Rep. Tim O’Driscoll and Rep. Joe Hoppe. The bill passed both the House and Senate and was signed by the Minnesota governor on May 8.
