Welcome Stop-A-Crack Windshield Repair, one of AGSC’s newest Registered Member Companies. Heather Grubb owns the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, shop, which her father founded in 1999.
Grubb’s father launched the business as a mobile operation specializing in rock chip repairs. He even invented and patented an injector that Stop-A-Crack still uses.
“His dedication and hard work led to our successful transition to an independent location where we specialize in rock chip and crack repairs, auto glass replacement and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) recalibrations,” Grubb says.
As the owner of Stop-A-Crack, Heather Grubb has earned a number of certifications for herself in addition to making her shop an AGSC Registered Member.After her dad signed ownership of the company over to her in 2023, Grubb says she’s been determined to continue his legacy.
“Since then, I have done everything I can to show my commitment to quality and safety,” she says.
She prioritized getting training and becoming AGSC Certified herself, and she made Stop-A-Crack an AGSC Registered Member.
“I want my customers to have an avenue to be educated about their windshield replacement and I want to ensure their peace of mind, along with mine, that when they leave my parking lot, they 100% know they are leaving here safely,” Grubb says. “Being an AGSC Registered Member Company and an AGSC Certified Technician offers that peace of mind to my customers.”
She believes she can offer that peace of mind by continuing her safety education. She uses the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) both to help her and to educate her customers.
Heather Grubb demonstrated her skills at the 2024 Auto Glass Technician Competition.“I want customers to understand how crucial it is for their safety to have a proper windshield installation done with quality materials,” Grubb says. “I have the AGRSS Standard and safety data sheets of the products I use available in my lobby to show transparency and commitment to these high standards.”
To instill even more trust, Grubb gives her customers a record of their replacement with lot numbers of the products she used. This also helps customers know her work is traceable and held accountable to a higher standard, Grubb says.
Grubb says Stop-A-Crack is “a small but mighty operation.” She employs an “incredible” AGSC Certified Technician, Derek, who she says is equally passionate about maintaining the AGRSS Standard. She also has a customer service representative (CSR), LaShanda, who she calls “the hardest-working and most dedicated CSR that I have ever had the pleasure of working with.” Together, they’re dedicated to educating their community about the importance of windshield safety and providing proper windshield repair and replacement.
