Tom Tschabold
Thomas Tschabold of Glass Doctor in Maumee, Ohio, recently renewed his Master Auto Glass Technician certification with the Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC).
Tschabold has been in the industry for more than 30 years. “I got into this industry because of a high school friend,” he recalls. “His dad owned an auto glass shop and they were looking for someone. Things sure are a lot different than they were back then.”
He says he has “always been encouraged by my employers to seek certification as a way to stand apart from other installers.”
In Tschabold’s spare time, he enjoys reading or listening to books, restoring his old classic car, fishing and rehabbing rental properties. Additionally, he previously ran a Duck decoy manufacturing business for 16 years, and now is considering “growing food hydroponically at a commercial level.”
“I try to keep busy and not get stagnant,” adds Tschabold.
