August 25, 2022

Myron Slocum of Binswanger Glass, Arlington, Tex. recently earned his AGSC Master Auto Glass Technician certification.

Originally from Idaho, Slocum started his career in auto glass in March 1993 and has been working with Binswanger Glass throughout Texas for 23 of those 29 years. He has served Binswanger auto glass customers at its Harry Hines, Richardson, Abilene, Carrollton and Plano locations and currently works out of its Arlington location.

“Calibrating the Advanced Driver Assist Systems calibrations is interesting,” says Slocum. “It’s technology. It’s the way we are going which is one of the reasons I stepped up and completed the AGSC class. You have to adapt to change. There is so much to know.” Slocum continued stating, “I wanted the AGSC Master Technician certification because it was a goal for me. Technology moves so fast and you just have to try to keep up. It is another notch in the belt.”

Tiffany Brown, Regional Auto Glass Manager for Binswanger Glass, said “Binswanger Glass is fortunate to have Myron on our team. He is a very hard-working person, with a great attitude who is dedicated to learning new skills. Myron is a highly self-motivated technician whose efforts inspire the entire team and he has certainly earned this well-deserved success.”

Slocum, who has three daughters and is married to Binswanger Glass Training and Development Manager Lori Bright, spends his time restoring classic Chevy trucks. “I have my dad’s ‘79 that I’m fixing up, as well as a couple Blazers and Suburbans. I stay busy working on them and our home.”
