From the first meetings in 1999 that formed the Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) to today’s initiatives, the Auto Glass Safety Council’s (AGSC) dedication to proper replacement practices has transformed the industry. A soon-to-be-released documentary will highlight the Association’s rich and powerful history.

“AGSC sets the Standard for the industry – literally,” says AGSC president Jacques Navant. “I am humbled to play a role in that, and I’m excited for everyone to see how the Association’s forefathers shaped auto glass repair and replacement today.”

The AGSC documentary will premiere at Auto Glass Week™ 2026.

AGSC members who attended the February committee meetings got an exclusive sneak peek at the documentary’s draft. Linda Rollinson, AGSC board member and chair of the Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standard (ROLAGS™) 2 Standards Committee, was one of the lucky viewers.

“I was extremely impressed,” she says. “It has a lot of footage from AGSC’s early days and the years leading up to the AGRSS Standard. That helped me remember just how real our history is and how much it means to the industry.”

The documentary will premiere at Auto Glass Week™ (AGW) 2026 in a special screening at the event. Register for AGW HERE using the special AGSC code DAGS26G.

AGSC members who’d like to play a part in this documentary are invited to email photos from any point in AGSC or the Standard’s history to abowman@agsc.org for a chance to have your AGSC experience immortalized in film. Photos of AGSC meetings, events, social gatherings, shop photos, AGSC’s founding/current leadership and AGSC members and their companies are all welcome. The more photos you share, the better.
