Iowa Bill Seeks to Address Shop Choice, Excludes Auto Glass

January 18, 2018

A bill has been filed in the Iowa House of Representatives that aims to add a section about automobile repair facility choice to the state’s law. However, the bill notes that “for the purposes of this section: ‘Automobile repair business or location’ does not include a business or location that exclusively provides automobile glass replacement, glass repair services, or glass products.”

The bill, HSB529, was introduced on January 16 by the House of Representatives’ Commerce Committee.
