Auto Glass Week™ Announces Career Day

June 1, 2022

Building and supporting the next generation of technicians are vital to the auto glass repair and replacement industry. Auto Glass Week 2022, Sept. 14-16 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, will address this with Career Day, a new program that invites local high school and vocational school students to attend the show for a day of learning and introduction to the industry.

Career Day will be action-packed and will include industry overviews, demonstrations, and panel discussions. Students will gain exposure to passionate industry representatives from different disciplines and have an opportunity to meet with local shop owners that have immediate employment opportunities in both auto glass repair, replacement, calibration and window film.

“We want our guests to come away with a new awareness of the many possibilities available in auto glass and window film careers. What better opportunity than at the best event of the year,” says Amy Hennes, AGW career day director. “This is an exciting time for our industry, and interest in this new program has been outstanding.”

Career Day will take place on the show’s final day, Friday, Sept. 16, from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.

AGSC members in the San Antonio area that are actively looking for employees or that would like to promote their company to area candidates can register for free as a Career Day participating company. The registration provides you and a colleague with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with more than 150 local students from San Antonio’s public and vocational schools, access to the exhibition floor, and a table to display your company’s information as well as lunch.
