Legislation has been introduced in the Alaska House that would prohibit window tinting on motor vehicles.  The bill, H 211, prohibits tinting that is below five inches on the front windshield, that is mirrored or reduces light transmission on the side and rear windows to less than 35 percent.  The proposal provides exemptions for medical reasons and for limos, passenger buses and motor homes.
