Genesis Auto Glass is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Paul and Jason Whitehead say they’re excited to continue the company’s legacy and want to be part of the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) while doing so.
The father/son duo owns and operates the Holly Pond, Alabama-based business. Even with their combined years of experience, Jason Whitehead says there’s always more to consider.

“We’ve learned new processes as the industry evolves, but there’s a difference between knowing how to do something and being certified,” Jason Whitehead says. “Glass is a lot more complicated than it used to be. It’s more important now than ever to be able to prove to customers and insurance that we know what we’re doing.”
Being an AGSC member isn’t just about optics, Jason Whitehead says. The Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard™ (AGRSS) is the foundation of their work.

“We take this seriously,” he says. “We’re not a fly-by-night operation.”
They do a lot of glass replacement work for body shops, Paul Whitehead says, but becoming an AGSC member will give them credibility with individual customers.
“It helps us get on insurance providers’ preferred shop lists,” Jason Whitehead adds. “It will help customers choose us over other shops an insurer [or its third-party administrator] might recommend.”
Both Paul and Jason Whitehead are looking forward to the additional certification and continuing education opportunities AGSC offers, including the Glass ADAS Calibration Specialist certification and the AGSC Member Webinars.
