AGSC WELCOMES AS A MEMBER COMPANY APPALACHIAN AUTO GLASS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Appalachian Auto Glass has become a Registered Member Company of the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC). The Boone, North Carolina, shop was founded in 1986 and joined AGSC because of its commitment to safety.

Special Forces veteran Sean Fagan owns the company. He says his business is unique in the area because it is a “brick-and-mortar” shop. Plus, Appalachian Auto Glass does recalibrations, which very few shops in the area do.

Fagan points out Boone is also the home of Appalachian State University and it is a popular summertime tourist destination.

Part of the reason Fagan wanted Appalachian Auto Glass to become an AGSC Registered Member Company was because he had the safety of his customers in mind.

“I want to make sure I’m doing the safest job for the customers,” he says. “And I think it’s important that there’s some sort of certification or oversight in our industry.”

Fagan also says being an AGSC Registered Member Company gives him access to the latest technical information.

“Being a member of AGSC provides a lot more access to what’s going on legislative-wise, or safety-wise,” he says. “Updates, I think, come a lot quicker by being an AGSC Registered Member Company.”

Fagan believes it’s crucial to be trained and certified in as many things as possible. He holds his shop to high standards anyway, so the next logical step was becoming an AGSC member.

The Auto Glass Safety Council™ is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the safe repair and replacement of auto glass. The Auto Glass Safety Council was founded and is supported by companies in the auto glass repair and replacement industry and other stakeholders who keep safe repair and replacement as their primary goal.
