Peter Brown reports that his cancer treatment has helped significantly, saying, “Everything is very good, I’m very lucky.”
The AGSC vice president and president of Massachusetts-based Tiny & Sons Auto Glass had an MRI on Jan. 26 that revealed one of the tumors in his brain had disappeared and the other one had shrunk to “the size of a quarter.”
“The last treatment took a lot out of me, so I am glad it’s working,” Brown says, explaining that his body needed several extra days to heal after his most recent round of chemotherapy.
The difficult treatment has not stopped the famously optimistic man from finding the bright side, though.
“I got to watch two football games and seven movies during that time,” Brown says. “I also read two books and was able to keep working.”
Brown adds that he’s grateful to be close to Boston, which gives him access to some of the country’s best medical care.
“My doctor is actually a professor at Harvard,” he says. “I’m very blessed.”
Brown prioritizes community engagement as a business leader, which is why he says it has been “heartwarming” to watch that community return the favor and rally around his wife, Anne Svelnis. He says he’s also grateful to his brother and business partner, Ed Brown, and office manager Deanna Hatch for keeping Tiny & Sons running smoothly.
