
Twenty-seven technicians took the certification exam last year in Irvine, Calif.
The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold a regional training and accreditation program in Long Island, N.Y., in March of next year. The training course and certification exam will be offered twice, once on Thursday, March 30, and again on Friday, March 31, at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington Hotel.
The program is free for technicians who currently work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The cost is $49 for technicians who do not work for an AGSC Registered Member Company. The course will be led by Bob Beranek, chair of the AGSC AGRSS™ Standards Committee and president of Auto Glass Consultants.
The training part of the program will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, and then the exam will be given at 7 p.m. On Friday, March 31, the training course will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and the exam will follow at 11:30 a.m.
“We look forward to seeing a number of technicians in Long Island in March,” says Beranek. “This is a great opportunity for technicians to train and take the certification exam without having to travel a great distance.”
Additionally the AGSC will offer a training and accreditation program at its headquarters in Stafford, Va., on December 15. The course and exam will be given from 5 to 8 p.m. Stafford is approximately 30 miles south of Washington, D.C., and 45 miles north of Richmond, Va.
