AGSC to Hold Annual Meeting, Certification Training, in Reno, Nev., in September

AGW_AGSCThe Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) will hold its annual meeting on Tuesday, September 29, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., in Reno, Nev. The meeting will be held the day before Auto Glass Week™ gets underway. Auto Glass Week will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

The member meeting will include a number of speakers and seminars designed specifically for AGSC Registered Member Companies to help them grow their businesses.

“We are excited about bringing the member meeting back this year,” says AGSC event chair Peter Brown. “We received a positive response last year and our members took away so much useful information and are excited to see the same happen this year.”

Additionally, the AGSC will hold a number of committee meetings in Reno. On Monday, September 28, the AGSC education/credentialing committee be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The marketing committee will then meet from 4 to 5 p.m.

On Tuesday, September 29, the AGSC Board of Directors will meet from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

On Wednesday, September 30, the AGSC AGRSS Standards™ committee will meet from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, technicians who wish to become certified by AGSC can participate in a training course and exam on Friday, October 2, the final day of Auto Glass Week. The training course will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on October 2, and the exam will be given from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The certification training is free to technicians who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies and available to non-Registered Member Companies at a small charge. The cost for technicians who do not work for AGSC Registered Member Companies is $49. Also, as a special incentive, companies that become AGSC Registered Member Companies by the date of this training can sign their technicians up onsite to take the training and test for free (the $49 will be credited back once deducted from the total AGSC registration fees).
