The Auto Glass Safety Council™ (AGSC) has several marketing items available to its members designed to assist them with promoting their AGSC Registration status as well as educating consumers and insurers about the importance of safe auto glass installation. These items can be found under the “For Members” section of the AGSC website either in Member Resources at https://agsc.org/members/ or in the AGSC store at https://www.agsc.org/store/.
“We are excited about all of the marketing materials that we have available to our members,” says Peter Brown, chair of the AGSC Marketing Committee and president of Tiny & Sons Auto Glass in Pembroke, Mass. “We encourage our members to take advantage of these great tools to educate customers and insurance company representatives on the importance of safe auto glass installation.”
These items include several brochures created by the AGSC Marketing Committee covering a variety of topics. The brochures emphasize the importance of following the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS Standard to ensure consumer safety and promote the use of AGSC Registered Member Companies as those companies have all agreed to follow the AGRSS Standard and undergo periodic independent third-party audits verifying compliance with the Standard. These brochures can be purchased in the AGSC store.
AGSC also offers two videos for member use. The Importance of Safety video provides a history of the AGSC along with a detailed look at why proper windshield installations are crucial. It also explains the importance of utilizing AGSC Registered Member Companies and provides an overview of the third-party validation program in which Registered Member Companies agree to participate. AGSC also has a new promotional video highlighting a personal experience in which a properly installed windshield protected the occupants of a vehicle when the windshield was struck by a large object on the highway. Copies of these videos are available to members in the Member Resources section of the AGSC website.
In addition, a yearly Member Directory is published that includes listings of the AGSC Registered Member Companies and a copy of the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS Standard as well as many other items. A copy of this directory is provided to new AGSC members and is mailed to current AGSC members each year. Additional copies of the directory can be purchased in the AGSC store. We encourage members to provide copies of this directory to the insurance agents with whom they do business.
