The Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) has released a troubleshooting checklist for use with vehicles that require calibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) after auto glass replacement.
“Proper calibration of the ADAS system in a vehicle after auto glass replacement is integral to the safety of the vehicle,” said AGSC ADAS Committee chairperson Jacques Navant. “This troubleshooting checklist has been created to assist those replacing glass in vehicles equipped with ADAS to ensure that the calibration process is successfully completed.”
The checklist includes a variety of factors that could cause a calibration not to be successfully completed. It has just been released to AGSC members as a recommended practice.
“We are excited to make this troubleshooting checklist available to our members to assist them with completing a calibration,” said Navant. “AGSC’s members put the safety of their customers first. Making sure they are able to successfully complete the calibration of the ADAS system is important for the safety of the vehicle and its occupants.”
