Do Self-Driving Vehicles Need Rear-View Mirrors? NHTSA Weighs In

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) chief counsel recently interpreted a number of provisions in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) as they would apply to Google’s self-driving vehicles (SDV).
