Free training opportunities are available in both Long Island, N.Y., and Irvine, Calif., in 2015.

As we approach the New Year, many are starting to mark their calendars for industry events, including training events. The Auto Glass Safety Councilâ„¢ (AGSC) has three such training opportunities scheduled so far for next year, in March in Irvine, Calif., and in Long Island, N.Y., in April. All opportunities will include auto glass technician and accreditation testing.

The training is free to technicians who work for AGSC Registered Member Companies and available to non-Registered Member Companies at a small charge.

The Irvine training will be held at the Hotel Irvine Jamboree Center. The course will be conducted on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the exam will be given from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The Long Island training will be held twice at the Hyatt Regency Long Island Hotel in late April. On April 23, a training course will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., including the exam. The next day, on April 24, the training course and exam will be repeated. The course will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the exam will be given from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The cost for technicians who do not work for AGSC Registered Member Companies is $49. Also, as a special incentive, companies that become AGSC Registered Member Companies by the date of this training can sign their technicians up onsite to take the training and test for free (the $49 will be credited back once deducted from the total AGSC registration fees).

All fees include both the training and examination.
